God I spend untolds amount of time playing that as a kid. Favorite thing of mine was setting up custom scenarios in the map editor.
I’ll probably go and pick up the expansions - thanks for reminding me.

No, that version hasn’t been released yet. I’m a sucker for the original though. Played it so much as a kid.

Anyone want to start up an Oppo league of AOEII on steam? I forgot I purchased this on sale a couple of years ago. I love spending countless hours building walls and giant armies only to be decimated by the god damn Mongolians. I recall ruthless strategies of burying trebuchets deep in the woods and sneak attacking via water.
